Parents/Guardians Code of Conduct
1. Please show respect for players, managers/coaches, opponents and officials.
2. Leave the coaching to the coaches. Disagreements do not belong on the field. Questions, input and suggestions should be voiced in the absence of players.
3. Team selection is at the discretion of the manager/coach and will not be purely on talent - it will be based on behaviour, attendance and effort.
4. Ensure that your child arrives/is picked up on time for training and matches. Notify coach if you are running late or another parent is to pick up your child.
5. If your child is unable to attend a match or training please let the coach know in time. He/she needs to know if they are able/unable to field a team . A match cannot be postponed last minute and must be conceded which is unfair to everyone involved.
6. Please refrain from shouting instructions from the sidelines, it only causes confusion. Players should only listen for coaches and ref’s instructions.
7. Do not use abusive /foul language or abuse ref’s or coaches. You may be asked to leave the grounds.
8. Accept disappointment, praise good work and refrain from criticism. Emphasise skill development and practise over winning and how this benefits your child. Children develop skill at different stages.
9. Assist if possible. Parents may be asked to attend training sessions or sometimes wait with children if coach is delayed. Do not leave your child unattended.
10. Buses will not be used unless otherwise stated .
11.Abide with all final decisions made by Conn Rangers coaching staff and committee.
12. If there is an issue with your child please consult with the coach/club member/child welfare officer [Kevin - 0877975275]. We are here to help .
13. While it's nice to be competitive and win silverware, children develop skills at different stages so please be mindful of this. It is not the World Cup.
